Annual event honours children with life-threatening illnesses and their families
Abbotsford, B.C. (November 29, 2022): Canuck Place Children’s Hospice honours short lives at the annual Lighting of the House presented by CIBC at Canuck Place Abbotsford – Dave Lede House. A beloved tradition, the Lighting of the House represents giving light and hope to over 830 children with life-threatening illnesses and their families across BC and the Yukon.
The in-person event will also include festive refreshments; acknowledgments from Denise Praill, Canuck Place CEO, and CIBC’s Investment Advisor, Brent Johnson; in addition to the lighting of thousands of festive lights illuminating the Abbotsford hospice. The Vancouver Canucks beloved mascot Fin will also make an appearance!

Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is British Columbia and the Yukon’s pediatric palliative care provider.
