Gala raises funds to provide complex care for children with life-threatening illnesses
Abbotsford, B.C. (February 23, 2023): Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is pleased to announce that the 9th annual Gift of Love Gala presented by MNP will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Abbotsford Centre. Donors, partners, sponsors, and supporters of Canuck Place from the Fraser Valley will come together for a spectacular night to raise funds for pediatric palliative care for children and families across B.C. and the Yukon.
Guests will come together in person for this year's Gift of Love Gala, hosted by Every Conversation Counts author, Riaz Meghji. The evening will feature an exceptional dinner, exciting live and silent auctions, incredible entertainment, including youth performers from the MEI Screaming Eagles Marching Band, and dancing with DJ Marvel. Gala attendees will also be introduced to Canuck Place parents Erin and Federico Angel, who will share their family’s story and care experience at Canuck Place. A candle lighting ceremony will take place in honour of Erin and Federico’s son, Alejo, and all of the children at Canuck Place. Following the candle lighting ceremony, guests will be treated to a special performance by local singer, Tyson Venegas who just received the first Platinum Ticket to Hollywood on American Idol.
Guests and all residents across B.C. can enter an exciting raffle sponsored by Lanka Jewels, for a chance to win a beautiful one-of-a-kind 14K white gold blue zircon and diamond ring valued at $8,000. Deadline to purchase raffle tickets is February 25 at 9:30 p.m. and the winner will be drawn at 10 p.m. All raffle proceeds will benefit Canuck Place. Visit the raffle site for purchase details.
