Annual event honours children with life-threatening illnesses and families
Abbotsford, B.C. (December 4, 2023): Canuck Place Children’s Hospice honours short lives at the annual Lighting of the House presented by CIBC at Canuck Place Abbotsford – Dave Lede House. A beloved tradition, the Lighting of the House represents giving light and hope to over 871 children with life-threatening illnesses and families across BC and the Yukon.
The in-person, outdoor event will also include festive refreshments; a musical performance from the MEI Chamber Singers; photos with Santa; acknowledgments from Abbotsford Mayor, Ross Siemens, Canuck Place CEO, Denise Praill, and CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisor and former BC Lion, Brent Johnson; in addition to the lighting of thousands of festive lights illuminating the Abbotsford hospice and grounds.
