Gala raises funds to provide care for children with life-threatening illnesses across B.C. and the Yukon
Vancouver, B.C. (October 31, 2024): Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is pleased to announce that the 20th annual Gift of Time Gala presented by Nicola Wealth will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Over the past 19 years, the Gift of Time gala has raised over $19 million to support Canuck Place care.
Donors, partners, sponsors, and supporters of Canuck Place will come together for a spectacular night to raise funds for pediatric palliative care for children and families across B.C. and the Yukon.
The event will be hosted by Global BC’s Sonia Sunger and feature an exceptional dinner, exciting live and silent auctions, and musical entertainment by Top Line Vocal Collective and Musical Occasions. Gala attendees will also be introduced to Canuck Place siblings Marysa and Spencer Ho and Lukas Domingo who will share their family stories and care experience at Canuck Place.

About Canuck Place Children’s Hospice: Canuck Place Children's Hospice is BC and the Yukon's pediatric palliative care provider. Over 920 children living with life-threatening illnesses and families from five provincial health regions receive Canuck Place inpatient and community care (in home/in hospital). Canuck Place operates 10 patient beds and 8 family suites through two hospices in Vancouver and Abbotsford. Services include in-hospice medical respite and family support, pain and symptom management, a provincial 24-Hour Clinical Care Line, music and recreation therapy, education and art, grief, loss, and bereavement counselling, as well as end-of-life care.
